The Swiss Association SEE (Sustainable Education Evaluation) offers a voluntary certification process for educational institutions that aim to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability and environmental values. The certification evaluates various aspects of the institution’s operations and practices. Here is a summary of the assessment procedure:
Pedagogical Plan: The educational institution’s pedagogical plan is evaluated to ensure it aligns with sustainable education objectives.
Business Practices: The institution’s management processes and business practices are assessed to determine their affiliation with environmental values.
Corporate Culture: The certification process evaluates whether the institution has a corporate culture that motivates staff for personal growth and encourages self-control over external
management guidance.
Spreading Sustainability: The institution is expected to make efforts to communicate its position on sustainability to the public, through regular communication.
Public Position: The educational institution is required to have a clear and understandable public position regarding ecology and the future of the planet. By maintaining a positive image and
bringing benefits to society, the institution demonstrates its commitment to sustainability.
The Certification Process is based on the documents provided by the applicant. It aims to showcase the institution’s serious intention and achievement of a certain level of sustainability. The Association conducts a comprehensive evaluation process involving online training hours, some consultation for correction, and the exchange of experiences between the Swiss side and the applicant.
Classic Membership in the Association provides benefits such as annual online exchanges of the latest technologies in education and business.
Premium Membership: All certificates then lead to Premium Membership. For premium members Association organizes the Annual Membership Summit in Geneva,
Switzerland in order to facilitate the exchange between the members of SEE and to invite the best world speakers about Sustainable Education.
